Not too much more LOST to go, thus not many more times we are going to have some promos for you, so let’s enjoy them while we can! From ABC, we have a batch of sneak peeks from “What They Died For”, next week’s episode of LOST (May 18th). With the images we get the typically brief caption of “While Locke devises a new strategy, Jack’s group searches for Desmond.” This batch of images is very focused on who have been the main players for the last six seasons, and really remind me that we really are getting down to the end now, and it’s time to find out what happens to the real players.

Well, where do I start? I didn’t have high expectations of this episode because i’ve been disappointed before (Ab Aeterno)! But I guess the reason why I love “Lost” is not because of the answers they give but because of the characters who are undergoing all these adventures. This episode was necessary to explain things that happened in the story but I understand why people hate it. I guess I will judge this episode better when the story comes full circle with the series finale. (and let me say, my expectations are high for the finale!!) Overall it was a DECENT EPISODE but didn’t have the same tension and excitement as the last two episodes (The Last Recruit and The Candidate). But it still deserves some credit for the acting skills of Titus Welliver and Mark Pellegrino.

We opened on Locke in the hospital with Jack waking him up. Locke said he knew Jack. Jack recalled meeting him at the airport. Jack asked Locke how his spinal injury had happened, because he thought Locke was “a candidate.” He was talking about a new type of surgery that Jack thought might get Locke walking again. Locke refused.

Helen showed up and thanked Jack profusely for “saving” Locke.

For the first time since the premiere, we didn’t focus on any one character or pair, but rather bounced from person to person, story to story as everyone began to come together, both in the real world and the sideways one. We got payoffs to a number of arcs and/or mysteries – Smokey admits he was posing as Christian Shepard all these years, Jin and Sun are finally reunited, Kate makes peace with Claire – and some high-caliber acting from just about everyone in the ensemble. (And if I’ve done my math correctly, the only castmember to not appear was Nestor Carbonell, since Richard is off with Ben and Miles in the real world and has yet to appear in the sideways universe.)

In fact, because “The Last Recruit” was largely devoted to moving various chess pieces into position on the board in both universes, there’s less to deconstruct and puzzle over here than usual.

“Lost” is beginning to look like quicksand right now: the more the writers try to explain things, the more new questions they create. The ideas at this point are pretty muddled (Hurley of the alternate universe gets flashes of the original timeline when Libby kisses him; why didn’t this work for, say, Sun or Jin?), nobody seems to know exactly what he’s doing or why, and there is something “off” about the premise of a powerful, transforming, centuries-old entity escaping from an island on a mere old plane.

At this moment, this is one of the best episodes of the entire series, at least for me. Best flash-sideways by a long distance, except this time the flash-sideways connects with the island story, and that was what made the episode so beautiful. Every meeting Desmond had was great, especially with Daniel and Charlie. Henry Ian Cusick did an awesome performance, especially on the emotional level. There wasn’t much island story, but I didn’t miss it at all. Only hope the rest of the series can maintain this level of acting.

As another Tuesday rolls around, I couldn’t wait for the next episode of LOST. This one full of greatness all around. We see a confrontation between enemies, an excellent flash-sideways plot full of Keamy and Patchy. Sun loses her power to speak English, which I welcomed due to the fact that over the past season and a half, she has pretty much been a broken record. “Where is my husband?” and “I need to find my husband!” has been pretty much her every other line of dialogue. Daniel Day Kim gives a great performance when he first sees his daughter (even though its through a digital camera), and the cliffhanger was perfect, albeit predictable. Frank gets his awesome one line of the episode, and we see another scary Locke face. Things are unraveling, and I cannot wait until next week!

We finally learn the secrets behind Lost’s most mysterious character, Richard Alpert. Nestor Carbonell is fantastic, speaking mostly Spanish throughout the entire episode. We finally see his personal back-story, involving his wife Isabella and his enslavement, and also two very important questions are answered: How does Richard never age and what is his connection to Jacob?

Even more interesting is how we see more into the rivalry between Jacob and The Man in Black. Also, we finally learn what brought The Black Rock to the Island (if you haven’t figured it out yet) and what destroyed the Egyptian Statue. It reaches a bit of a slow point about halfway through when Richard is chained inside of the ship, alone, for about fifteen minutes of the episode’s run-time but otherwise this is the moment that Lost fans have been waiting for. Especially in a fairly lackluster season, this is Lost at its finest.

Season 6 finally seems to be getting on the right track, after the first 3 episodes disappointed me a little. Since “The Lighthouse” Lost has been at it’s best, and while “Recon” isn’t as good as “Dr.Linus” (for me the best episode of the season so far, thanks to that Jack and Richard scene on the Black Rock), it was still a great episode to watch, since we had very interesting flash-sideways and very intense island arc. Josh Holloway was at his best yet again, and is starting to threaten Terry O’Quinn, Matthew Fox, Michael Emerson and Henry Ian Cusick for the title of best actor in this series.

As the countdown continues to the end of LOST, the ball keeps rolling in yet another roller coaster episode. I never really liked the Ben-centric episodes as much as everyone else did, but I had a feeling I would love this one after we see Ben complain about coffee filters in “The Substitute”, and I was right. We see Ben in the flash-sideways as a rather ordinary history teacher who still believes in his job, not quite different from Ben as when he was the leader of the island. Emerson gives a great performance in both the sideways and island story, especially in his rambling confession to Illana, but my personal favorite scene was in the b-story with Hurley, Jack, and Richard. When Jack just sits there with Richard in the Black Rock while the dynamite is about to blow, Jack makes the same face from the beginning of “Through The Looking Glass Part 1″ where he is standing on top of the bridge about to fall. In both scenes he closes his eyes, and it just reinforces my conclusions…Jack is one crazy dude..who’s Awesome!!! Cant wait till next Tuesday, where we will hopefully see more Jack faces!

So, finally we see something significant in 6th season and it is declaration of war of anti-Jacob(we don’t know this guy’s name, so I can call him anti-Jacob, I guess). Writers still keep us a little bit ignorant of historical events of island, but it’s OK, it’s fine. To see anti-Jacob recruiting the “templars” is definitely worth it. But Kate’s future is still unpredictable, we don’t know which side she will choose.

There is one another factor: We don’t know who is good, who is bad. Anti-Jacob looks bad, Jacob looks good, but we don’t know. This is consistent with Lost, because we are never forced to choose sides, there were always conflicts in earlier seasons: Locke vs Jack, Benjamin vs Jack, castaways vs the others, etc. Writers imply who is good but not mention. For example, Jack always seemed to be a part of good guys but in 5th season, he refused to treat a child. Sawyer seemed to be a little bit smartass and on his own, but he jumped off from the helicopter. So, characterization is still perfect.

First I was blown away by the premiere, then the substitute wowed me, but The Lighthouse is just one big meaty sandwich full of crazy and emotional Matthew Fox scenes. Varying from when Jack was running around looking for David(throwback to classic controlling jack),to when he revisited the caves and confessed to Hurley the truth about what happened 3 years ago during the episode “White Rabbit”, and finally to when he was screaming at Hurley demanding to know why Jacob was watching him.

I definitely don’t think anything can match up to the best Jack scene ever(One of Them S.2), but this episode developed his character even further, transforming him from the failure he thinks he is, back to a leader. I may be a little biased because Jack is my favorite character, but I hadn’t seen a decent Jack face since season 4. Bottom line, if your a fan of Jack or Matthew Fox, this episode will not disappoint. This episode Is definitely one of my favorite Jack-centric episodes, and much better then the season 4 and 5 Jack episodes (even though I liked those too).

The past episode was about Kate and this one was about What John Does. On the island we know Locke is dead and that the Smoke Monster uses his appearance. In the city John is alive and we witness his daily life, in a wheelchair. In What Kate Does he made me realize why I was so disappointed by James Cameron’s Avatar.

It’s because I couldn’t help comparing its protagonist, Jake Sully, to John Locke. His character grew on us for five seasons when in Avatar we only had five minutes to relate to Jake. As expected he ran into other characters, like it happened to Kate. These encounters were short but very helpful to better understand him. Different scenes and dialogs brought their lot of emotions so I found his urban destiny quite inspiring.

Like it very much.it’s the lost that i was waiting for. Even though i didn’t find answers for my uncountable questions,this keep me more and more interested and like i can’t stop thinking about it.that’s right that we saw the same usual suspense,and many are like sick of it but that doesn’t mean that lost’creators not in control of the whole season!we all know it.

What i loved about this episode is Sawyer,i mean the way he played the role of the desperate just got into my heart,great performance by each of kate,jack…like that man who tortured sayid,forgot the name,damn…well lost will always remain the best of the best of the best. It’s always LOSTY!

The first episode of Lost was much more interesting than i had expected myself.We can see what is happening after the explosion of the nuclear bomb where some how it appears that it is created a parallel universe in which we see the main characters how would they live if the plane had not crashed on the island but in my opinion i think it is a Little bit different.Perhaps on next episodes we will find out what they are planning to do.Also we have the revelation of the mysterious black smoke and who is the man behind John Locke.The thing that made Lost a successful show is that each episode has questions and clues.Great premiere and i cant wait to see the third episode.
